Oliver just dropped by our house one day and stayed. He looks a lot like Ambush, and we wonder if they might be related. He has the same color pattern, but the tan is slighly more pale.
Ollie likes to be outside, but even when he gets loose he sticks around the house and the field behind it. He is an unusually people-loving cat, and will often purr loudly as soon as he sees one of us. His idea of heaven is to lay on somebody's lap on the back steps and get petted. His purrs get even louder then.
He likes to sleep in some unusual places, like flower pots and holes in the ground. We made him a little house out of a small fiber drum, and when the weather gets cold he sleeps in it, somethimes with his face poking out of the entrance hole.
When we got Corky, our Border Collie, Ollie liked to play with him because he was just a puppy. When Corky got bigger, they still played, and Ollie held his own. He would stay on his back so all the teeth and claws were on top. Corky still has marks on his nose from their play.
